Corporate colours

The corporate colours are part of the consistent visual style and are one of the basic symbols identifying the company. The manual does not permit any adjustment or modification of the corporate colours.

Tip

As different manufacturers have their own colour swatch books, it is advisable to check the colour against the PANTONE number, or against the CMYK composition.

Rules for using the colours

The corporate colours are one of the basic symbols identifying the company. Incorrect use of the prescribed colours can devalue the consistent visual identity of the brand.

  • Only one basic colour – red. The exception is black-and-white or monochrome use.
  • The colours are never adjusted or modified – no gradients, no shading, no hue shifts.
  • The colours of the parts of the logo are never swapped – the symbol and the typographic part always have the same colour.
  • For print, refer to Pantone or CMYK, for screens to RGB / HEX, for physical objects to RAL.
  • Body text is set in black or in shades of grey; on a dark background in white.

Tints

Tints of the corporate colours for areas, backgrounds and data visualisations. They serve as a background, never as the colour of the logo.

Note

The tints are not specified numerically in the printed manual – they are a recommendation derived from the colour range on page 16 of the manual.

Recommended colour ratio

Across the various technological applications of the brand only one basic colour is used – red. The exception is black-and-white or monochrome use.

Note

The manual does not define the ratio – it is a recommendation derived from the page layout of the printed manual.

Contrast and legibility

Check your combination of text colour and background. The corporate red on a white area meets the contrast requirement for large text; for small text use black.
